There are at least 8 hundred-year-old churches within a few blocks of San Miguel's central park.

The Parroquia is the most famous. Its alien spires and fleshy stones loom over The Jardin, San Miguel's central park. Legend has it that the designer scratched his architectural plans for the church in the dirt with a stick.







Next to the Parroquia is the Iglesia de San Rafael:



The Iglesia de la Concepcion was built in the 18th and 19th centuries:
